Maison Sully Founder Melissa Sullivan is an experiential designer and event producer with a career producing weddings in different parts of the world.

Over the years, she has guided brides lamenting over the struggle to find pieces that were both uniquely reflective of their personalities and financially attainable. This process reawakened her appreciation for vintage, which began at a young age in visiting estate sales with her mother Kristen, who would emphasize to Melissa the incredible luck of finding something so well preserved that felt just right for you at that very moment in time. An avid creator and sewer, Kristen taught Melissa to sew at a young age, starting with patchwork blankets for stuffed animals and eventually a friend's high school prom dress.

Melissa studied at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and New Delhi, India, earning a Bachelor's of Science in International Trade Marketing, also studying draping and design. There she learned to navigate the complex global marketplace with an emphasis on sourcing and logistics, leading to an internship handling purchasing and logistics for famed event planner Colin Cowie -- kicking off a decade-long career thus far working amongst the most sought after planners in the world as crowned by Vogue and Harpers, including Stefanie Cove, Yifat Oren, and most recently Mindy Weiss.

Her combined background in weddings, fashion, and vintage collection set the foundation for the launch of Maison Sully, a brand founded on the desire to offer special, storied pieces that can be made completely their own through hand-tailored service while being socially and fiscally responsible.

When not curating and redesigning vintage for Maison Sully, she is producing events for her eponymous production firm, Studio Sully.
